CM1394 Series

IEEE1394 Common Mode Choke

RoHS compliant
Our CM1394 Series common mode choke was designed for IEEE1394 and other twisted-pair interfaces. It provides common mode and differential mode filtering in a single device with more than 21 dB attenuation at 400 MHz and is less expensive than hand-wound toroid designs.
  • Designed for IEEE1394 and other twisted-pair interfaces
  • Common mode and differential mode filtering in a single device
  • More than 21 dB attenuation at 400 MHz
  • Less expensive than hand-wound toroid designs
  • Defense Supply Center CID A-A-59744
Refer to Designing Common Mode Filters for design guidance.

Notes
  1. When ordering, please specify packaging code: e.g. CM1394LC
  2. Frequency at which the differential mode attenuation equals 3 dB
  3. Inductance measured at 100 MHz.
  4. Irms: Current per winding that causes a 20°C temperature rise from 25°C ambient. This information is for reference only and does not represent absolute maximum ratings.
  5. DCR is specified per winding at 25°C. For other operating temperatures, use this DCR at Temperature calculator.
  6. Winding to winding isolation (hipot) tested for one minute.

Termination:

  • RoHS compliant gold over nickel over moly-manganese.

Packaging:

  • C = 7″ machine-ready reel. EIA-481 embossed plastic tape (600 parts per full reel). Quantities less than full reel available: in tape (not machine ready) or with leader and trailer ($25 charge).
  • D = 13″ machine-ready reel. EIA-481 embossed plastic tape (2200 parts per full reel).
  • B = Less than full reel. In an effort to simplify our part numbering system, Coilcraft is eliminating the need for multiple packaging codes. When ordering, simply change the last letter of your part number from B to C.
